The Rare Bamboo Blooms in Duke Gardens, From a Bird’s-Eye View
A rare blackstem bamboo blossom has emerged at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens, but it may be hard to catch from the ground without binoculars. This drone footage over the 20-foot-tall bamboo provides a bird’s eye view of the blooms, which are appearing for the first time ever in the Gardens.
The footage was taken with a university-sanctioned drone shoot. Drone flights are otherwise prohibited in the Gardens.
